Job description
  • Work with business leaders to understand the business strategy and objectives and incorporate these into PR planning and activity.
  • Build strong relationships with senior journalists in Saudi Arabia, in addition to the region.
  • Develop PR strategy and plans coordinated with marketing plans and aligned to the business overall objectives.
  • Define target audiences for PR activity and media through which clients will be reached.
  • Develop and maintain editorial calendar and proactively seek opportunities to place stories, interviews, comments, etc.
  • Proactively understand and identify industry issues which are appropriate for press comment.
  • Work closely with the marketing teams in all subsidiaries to advise on how PR opportunities can be developed, and opportunities maximized around wider marketing projects.
  • Identify appropriate spokespeople and ensure they have necessary media training – while building recognition of those spokespeople as expert commentators on relevant issues.
  • Run competitive analysis of other key players in the market.
  • Ensure proper media monitoring and reporting.
  • Create KPIs and ensure tools and systems are in place for consistent measurement, evaluation and proof of value driven by PR.

Qualification
  • At least 4-6 years of solid media relations / communications experience, preferably at a senior level in house.
  • Track record of managing and delivering high impact PR campaigns and handling challenging and complex technical matters and sensitive issues.
  • Strong network of relevant journalist and industry contacts.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills, and proven ability to plan, manage and deliver projects.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proven ability using digital and social media as effective media relations tools.
  • Bilingual in Arabic and English.
