The Field Measure Technician serves as the in-home partner with the IKEA Kitchen Services Planners. The individual in this role is the customer’s first physical contact with IKEA Kitchen Services Inc. and sets the tone for a world class customer experience.
A typical day includes:
• Accurately measures and draws out the installation space and begins the installation conversation. • Securing high quality services, in a cost and time effective way. • Making onsite visits to measure prospective installation spaces and reviewing layout of kitchen with customer to ensure all components are correct and all measurements are accurate. • Setting expectations with customer on installation roadmap and ensuring proper handoff. • Reviewing appliance locations and new appliances to ensure they will fit; drawing plumbing, gas and electric line information • Reviewing all project paperwork required, system access, and obtain needed signatures from the customer. • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner to all strategic partners about the space. • Conducting pre-install visits to ensure the smooth flow of the work on installation day. • Performing additional duties as identified and assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Space layout experience preferred • Previous measuring experience preferred • Customer service experience • Strong aptitude for technology; ability to use computer, tablet, variety of software and applications. • Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
*Please note that day & evening travel is required in a reliable, personal vehicle. This position may require minimal overnight travel (5%). The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required.
