Why we will love you

Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Co-worker Relations or related
Experience with labor/benefits laws and legislations.
Awareness of Labor market intelligence and trends.
Experience with vulnerability and risk assessment.
Experience from a global matrix organization and/or participating on global projects desired.

What you'll be doing day to day

Partners with IKEA Unit's People and Culture Managers and other investigation teams to ensure that investigations/disciplinary processes are handled in a fair and timely manner, consistent with local requirements.

Ensures that fact based investigations are thorough and include the understanding of the allegations, appropriate interviews, analysis, documentation, recommendations for conclusion, and course of action.

Assesses and documents local best practices for investigations, re-organizations, and performance management.

Prepares, tracks, and maintains the appropriate investigation and reorganization data and documentation.

Provides project management coordination and guidance for People & Culture Partners and managers on changes in organization.

Develops and provides training and guidance to People & Culture partners and managers regarding employee relations issues, investigations, re-organizations and managing performance, and localizing existing training materials where applicable.

Oversees and manages the following open door programs: Express Yourself, Peer-review, Separation reviews, Ispeak, and Trust Line in partnership with the Unit and Field People & Culture Business Partners

The successful candidate must live within a commutable distance to an IKEA unit in the Chicagoland area; which includes Schaumburg, Bolingbrook or Joliet
